About Margo
I am a work at home mom with a rambunctious toddler and a wonderful husband. I got started in professional freelance writing a little over a year ago, drawing on my writing experience from college and my love of the written word. This is not the career I thought I would have when I was choosing courses in college and planning my future, but it is the one I have fallen in love with.
I believe that people can be as successful as they want to be, if they are willing to put in the hard work. I have worked as a farm hand, I’ve cleaned stables, I have worked in a deli and small grocery store. I was one of the top cooks, and a hostess, at a local chain restaurant. My freelance writing career is the first job I’ve had that doesn’t require heavy lifting.
I started my writing career at the bottom, working for almost nothing. I have studied books and websites, and I have practiced. I have never stopped to sit back and enjoy the status quo. My drive for success is what makes me a great writer– I am never willing to settle for a half-completed job. When I get hired to produce content, I give it my all.
I don’t spend all of my time working, however. Working at home gives me the opportunity to balance my life as a writer and as a mom. When I am not writing or wasting time on Twitter, I am spending time with my family. I am always half-way through a book, and I love to cook. I love to meet new people.
